This is very rare transitional Art Deco engraving silver plated model. This one has one side bell as 6m but has the mixture of 6m and new wonder key works. I remember the silver plated 6m style transitional saxophone had the same sound. We got it very bad condition. This one did not have much use when we see the plating on the body is almost 99% even around and on the thumb rest but the real pearl rollers all broke off when we try to remove. There was one post that was re-soldered with excessive solder around the post.
Removed the severe tarnish by chemically and then hand polished. The plating bobbles on the keys had been burnished. - Some gold color on the keys are the result. The excessive solder around the one post had been cleaned up with cloth after torching then burnished. No keys were wiggling or playing so we did not need to do anything on the keys which means the keys are not worn that much.
Hinge rods cleaned and polished for fast action. Installed new pads with flat metal resonator. Installed new corks and felts. One of the post had been re-soldered. There are some pitting on the silver plating on the key not the body. Some keys had been burnished to bare brass showing gold colors on the part of the keys. Very tight and fast key action. Fresh look of a new polish.
